Paul’s Stewardship

1 For this reason I, Paul, ^athe prisoner of ^bChrist Jesus ^cfor the sake of you ^dGentiles-- 2 if indeed you have heard of the ^eadministration of God’s grace which was given to me for you; 3 ^fthat ^gby revelation there was ^hmade known to me ⁱthe mystery, ^jas I wrote before briefly. 4 ^{▼▼Lit To which, when you read}By referring to this, when you read you can understand ^lmy insight ^{▼▼Lit in}into the ⁿmystery of Christ, 5 which in other generations was not made known to ^{▼▼Lit the sons of man}mankind, as it has now been revealed to His holy ^papostles and prophets ^{▼▼Or by}in the Spirit; 6 to be specific, that the Gentiles are ^rfellow heirs and ^sfellow members of the body, and ^tfellow partakers of the promise in ^uChrist Jesus through the gospel, 7 ^vof which I was made a ^wminister, according to the gift of ^xGod’s grace which was given to me ^yaccording to the working of His power. 8 To me, ^zthe very least of all ^{▼▼Lit holy ones; i.e., God’s people}saints, this grace was given, to ^abpreach to the Gentiles the unfathomable ^acriches of Christ, 9 and to ^{▼▼One early ms bring to light what}enlighten all people as to what the plan of the ^aemystery is which for ages has been ^afhidden in God, ^agwho created all things; 10 so that the multifaceted ^ahwisdom of God might now be ^aimade known through the church to the ^ajrulers and the authorities in ^akthe heavenly places. 11 This was in ^alaccordance with the ^{▼▼Lit purpose of the ages}eternal purpose which He ^{▼▼Or formed}carried out in ^aoChrist Jesus our Lord, 12 in whom we have boldness and ^{▼▼Lit access in confidence
,} ^aqconfident ^araccess through faith ^{▼▼Lit of Him}in Him. 13 Therefore I ask ^{▼▼Or that I may not lose}you not ^auto become discouraged about my tribulations ^avin your behalf, ^{▼▼Lit which are}since they are your glory.

14 For this reason I ^axbend my knees before the Father, 15 from whom ^{▼▼Or the whole}every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, 16 that He would grant you, according to ^azthe riches of His glory, to be ^bastrengthened with power through His Spirit in ^bbthe inner ^{▼▼Lit person}self, 17 so that ^bdChrist may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being ^berooted and ^bfgrounded in love, 18 may be able to comprehend with ^bgall the ^{▼▼See note v 8}saints what is ^bithe width and length and height and depth, 19 and to know ^bjthe love of Christ which ^bksurpasses knowledge, that you may be ^blfilled to all the ^bmfullness of God.

20 ^bnNow to Him who is ^boable to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, ^bpaccording to the power that works within us, 21 ^bqto Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations ^{▼▼Lit of the age of the ages}forever and ever. Amen.
